Donna Lougher – Lunchtime
DONNA LOUGHER
Lunchtime
My work focuses on movement in the public space, the ebb and flow of lunchtime crowds, the noise of industry and the evolving shapes of construction. While I paint what I see from a high vantage point, paradoxically, the paintings are equally about what lies beneath the surface, the dirt, and the layers of dolerite, fossilised vegetation and the blood of previous generations.
